Outreach Ministry - HOLY WORD OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL (Mark 16:15)

The Out Reach Ministry , Known as HOLY WORD OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL (HWOI) Headed by Ev. Samuel Ongodia, does a tremendous work in the many lives of the youths around the world.

This includes Church Marketing and Promotions, coordinating and the development of brochures, tracts, promotional material and literature for outreach purposes. It is our goal to have each ministry in the church work to fulfill their two-fold purpose; In reach- ministering to the needs of those who attend LIRM and Outreach- ministering to those who are not a part of LIRIM, endeavoring to win them to Jesus.

The missions support Department is also placed under the outreach ministry program where we:

• Establish and maintain a mission committee.
• Screen various mission support requests.
• Make recommendations to the elders for those needing our support.
• Promote the mission work that we are doing within our congregation.
• Manage the mission budget and coordinate it with the treasurer and elders.
• Plan events or visit with our mission congregations.
• Meet periodically with our missionaries.
• Organize and plan for missionary speakers to visit our congregation. Coordinate with the elders and pulpit minister.
• Report results of all special contributions to the Financial ministry.

The lord has touched us to touch others, changed us to change others, healed us to heal others, fed us to feed others, sheltered us to shelter others, saved us to save others, given us work beyond working for a living, but for a giving.

Who we are!

We are a vibrant cutting edge outreach solely envisioned to share the love of Christ to the hurting and lost world, with a holistic approach and equip the body of Christ.

Our History

Holy Word Outreach International was birthed out in March 2008, when the Lord placed a vision upon Samuel Ongodia’s heart, to reach out, recruit, train and send missioners. Today, the vision is progressing to victory reaching out to various communities within Africa

Mission Statement

Our mission is to change lives, help them be transformed towards the values of Jesus Christ and help them do the same to others, and also provide a forum for mobilizing, sensitizing, edifying, equipping and empowering

Vision and Purpose

1. To make Christ known through the proclamation of God’s saving grace and to build, edify and encourage the body of Christ, mobilise, train and send mission teams, setting up Christian activity clubs among youth, discipleship movements, among others.

2. Impacting and changing lives in communities through providing compassionate services and developmental initiatives. Establishing schools, youth centres, Children’s homes, Medical and Counselling centres, Christian media facilities, and other projects that may be of benefit to the communities.

3. Fighting immorality and human degradation in society, basing on biblical principles through organised activities and events like rallies and crusades, Conferences, Music galas, Camp meetings;

Prison, Hospital, Campus outreaches, Distribution of educative information and evangelistic literature, and relief, among others.

4. Co-work with Organisations, Companies, Ministries, Churches and Individuals on joint events such as may widen the kingdom of God, promote unity and peace; and also provide aid to the public regardless of social class, caste, creed and race.

5. To organise events and activities, and set up developmental initiatives and projects such as may be of benefit to the society, with a faith based approach.

OUTREACH SERVICE DISCRIPTION :

1. Children’s Outreach

Spend a weekend in a Children’s home, Orphanage, Street, Playing, Singing and Dancing, blessing the less fortunate children and the orphaned. Remember, it is not their desire to go through what they are going through, but they happen to be victims of the circumstances.

2. Prisons Outreach

Prisoners face condemnation, but through Christ they find freedom behind bars. You can literally see hope in the eyes of some of the inmates in a prison’s outreach experience.

3. Hospital Outreach

We visit the sick; give them love, healing, hope, help.

4. Relief and Donations

The real gospel is of a holistic approach, good news to the lost, healing to the sick, food for the hungry, shelter for the unsheltered and solutions to problems, in Christ Jesus. Blessing the needy, the poor, the widowed and orphaned you can bless lives out there through our ministry – Send clothes, shoes and other items, also start help development initiatives to help them help themselves and also bless them. Together, we can make a difference.

5. Campus & all Schools’ Weekly Outreaches

We organise evangelistic, edutainment, abstinent students’ blitz aimed at helping students live in victory over sexual promiscuity, drugs and addiction through being transformed to the values of Christ and help them teach their peers the same. We do this through conducting various programs on different students’ campuses. We conduct from individual to massive students’ outreach programs.

6. Prayer

Prayer binds people to God. Join us in a prayer and intercession network or send your prayer requests through our contact.

7. Women In Action

We have a women department with a major focus on ladies; restoring women’s inner and outer beauty, helping ladies to discover and rediscover their potentials, the value of a woman, and the integrity of a woman, heal from the past wounds, counselling, etc. Special invitations to all ladies with a passion to touch and minister to fellow women

8. Evangelistic Crusades & Missions

We set up Crusades and Missions in different parts of the world spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation and leading people to Christ

9. Conferences, Seminars, Work Shops & Camps

Holy Word Outreach International calls Conference, Seminars, Work Shops and Camps to teach, encourage, and share the word of God through Jesus Christ
